Princeton Lighting Inc. Terms and Conditions of Sale
Princeton Lighting wants all of its customers to have the best shopping experience possible with us. We are dedicated to your total satisfaction within the context of fair business practices. We stock only the highest quality products available and have taken considerable diligence to ensure the accuracy of information about these products on this website.
All returns are for exchange only. All of our lamps carry a 90-day manufacturer’s warranty. For warranty details, please refer to the Projection Lighting Warranty section below.
All returns should be properly shipped to us within (10) business days of notification and MUST include an approved RMA form with the number we provide you. Payment or reimbursement for additional shipping, handling and insurance charges are subject to approval. Return processing fees (normally 20% of the sale) will apply if the lamp is not proven defective. Returned items must be received in the same condition as originally shipped, including internal packaging, or a return may be denied. Please note that we do not guarantee items outside warranty coverage or beyond the (10) day inspection period and any issues which may arise thereafter are your responsibility.
Our Total Customer Satisfaction policy means that quality is integrated into each of our processes. It encompasses every aspect of the total output for our customers, including products, services and the total user experience. Lamp Warranty Overview
All merchandise sold on PrincetonLighting.com includes the manufacturer's standard warranty as indicated. Projector lamps sold individually on this site typically include a 90-day warranty from date of sale, unless otherwise specified.
Warranty Administration
All items are guaranteed to be working upon arrival to the customer. In the event the product appears to become defective within its respective warranty period, the customer should contact Princeton Lighting, Inc. for return policies and procedures at (609) 755-4310 or sales@princetonlighting.com.
The buyer is responsible for proper shipping of the product for replacement. This includes appropriate insurance and packaging so the item is not damaged during shipment. ITEMS RETURNED DAMAGED VOIDS ALL WARRANTY. Upon receipt, items will be inspected for serial number, total hours usage, and tampering or misuse. DISASSEMBLY OR OTHERWISE TAMPERING WITH THE PRODUCT VOIDS ALL WARRANTY. If the unit is physically damaged due to customer abuse or neglect or the unit otherwise does not meet the requirements of the Princeton Lighting exchange policy, appropriate replacement charges may apply. Restocking fees will be applied to the return of all non-defective products to cover merchant fees and other overhead associated with the return. Normally restocking fees will be between 20% of the sale. Partial returns will be proportioned accordingly. Items that pass inspection will be exchanged. Product exchange is subject to availability.
Princeton Lighting exchange service ensures that you will receive a replacement product within five business days of receipt. Three day delivery cannot be guaranteed to foreign countries due to customs clearance delays. More immediate exchanges can be made with the purchase of a new lamp of the same model if it is in stock at the time of the call, where a credit will be applied to your account for the full amount of this purchase upon receipt of the exchanged lamp in proper condition as noted above. This policy does not cover failure due to misuse or acts of God. Items not reported within the respective warranty period will not be exchanged. Returns will not be accepted without an RMA Number issued by Princeton Lighting. Princeton Lighting reserves the right to charge up to 20 percent restocking fee for products returned as defective that have no problem found. Princeton Lighting reserves the right to test returned defective product.
LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS
Subject to the Limitations, Exclusions and Disclaimers hereof, Princeton Lighting warrants that the projection equipment and supplies sold on PrincetonLighting.com (hereinafter collectively or individually referred to as "Product" as appropriate) purchased from Princeton Lighting will conform to industry' specifications and be free from defects in material or workmanship for the respective Limited Warranty period provided below. Princeton Lighting does not warrant that the Product will meet the specific requirements of the end-user customer. If the Product while subject to this Limited Warranty is defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, then Princeton Lighting will replace the Product.
All exchanged parts and Products replaced under this Limited Warranty will become property of Princeton Lighting. Princeton Lighting sole obligation is to replace the Product found to be defective within the Limited Warranty period and to replace defective parts with new parts or, at the option of Princeton Lighting, serviceable used parts that are equivalent or superior to new parts performance. Limited Warranty periods are as follows: Standard Product Limited Warranty Period: 90-day from the date of sale.
WARRANTY LIMITATION AND EXCLUSION
THIS WARRANTY SETS FORTH PRINCETON LIGHTING MAXIMUM LIABILITY FOR ITS PRODUCT. THIS WARRANTY EXTENDS ONLY TO PRODUCTS PURCHASED FROM PRINCETON LIGHTING OR A PRINCETON LIGHTING AUTHORIZED RESELLER. Princeton Lighting shall have no further obligation under the foregoing Limited Warranty if the Product has been damaged due to abuse, improper ventilation, fire, water, disaster, mispackaging, shipping, lightning or other acts of nature, misuse, neglect, smoke exposure (cigarette or otherwise), accident, unusual physical or electrical stress and/or power surges, unauthorized modifications (including use of an unauthorized mount), tampering, alterations, service other than by Princeton Lighting or its authorized service providers, or failure caused other than from ordinary use or failure to properly use the Product in the application for which said Product was intended. In addition, failure of the end-user to follow maintenance procedures as outlined in the product's user guide, where a schedule is specified for regular cleaning of certain parts (based on usage and environment), and the end-user has failed to follow such schedule, the Product will not be covered under the Limited Warranty. Finally, Princeton Lighting shall have no further obligation if Princeton Lighting Product was subjected to operating conditions outside of the range specified in the user's guide or in this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty excludes Product cleaning, repair, or replacement of plastics and glass due to cosmetic damage and damage as a result of normal wear. Product repair outside of the terms of the Limited Warranty will be on a time and materials basis. LCD burn-in as a result of excessive display of static images, or any other reason, is not covered under the terms of this Limited Warranty.
To Be Eligible For Limited Warranty Coverage
Any person exercising a claim under this Limited Warranty must establish to the satisfaction of Princeton Lighting both the date of purchase and that the Product was purchased new. The sales receipt or invoice, showing the date of purchase of the Product is the proof of the date of purchase.
DISCLAIMER OF UNSTATED WARRANTIES
THE WARRANTY PRINTED ABOVE IS THE ONLY WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE DISCLAIMED. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES THAT EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF AND THE FOREGOING WARRANTY SHALL NOT BE EXTENDED, ALTERED OR VARIED EXCEPT BY WRITTEN INSTRUMENT SIGNED BY PRINCETON LIGHTING. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY MAY LAST, SO SUCH LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Limited Warranty Period
The Limited Warranty periods hereof commence on the date the customer purchases the product from Princeton Lighting. These Limited Warranty provisions shall apply only to the end-user purchaser (first person or entity that purchased a new Product for personal or business use and not for the purpose of distribution or resale). SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY GRANT YOU CONSUMER RIGHTS WITH MINIMUM WARRANTY DURATION THAT DIFFER FROM THE DURATIONS PROVIDED HEREIN, AND PRINCETON LIGHTING WILL HONOR ALL SUCH CONSUMER RIGHTS UPON PROOF OF PURCHASE IN THAT JURISDICTION.
To Obtain Warranty Service
During the Limited Warranty period, to exercise this Limited Warranty, the purchaser must first contact Princeton Lighting at (609) 755-4310 or sales@princetonlighting.com.
For Warranty service, the purchaser will be advised to return or deliver the defective Product to Princeton Lighting. When returning Product to Princeton Lighting, a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) # is required and must be clearly displayed on the outside of the shipping carton or a similar package affording an equal degree of protection.
Products returned for Warranty service must be accompanied by an authorized and completed RMA form that: (i) explains the problem; (ii) provides proof of date of purchase; (iii) provides the model and serial number of the Product. No repair or replacement of Product or part thereof shall extend the Limited Warranty period as to the entire Product. Warranty on the repair part and workmanship shall only be effective for a period of 90-day following the repair or replacement of that part or the remaining period of the Product Limited Warranty whichever is greater.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IT IS UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED THAT PRINCETON LIGHTING’S LIABILITY WHETHER IN CONTRACT, IN TORT, UNDER ANY WARRANTY, IN NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE RETURN OF THE AMOUNT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY PURCHASER AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUES OR LOST SAVINGS. THE PRICE STATED FOR THE PRODUCTS IS A CONSIDERATION IN LIMITING PRINCETON LIGHTING’S LIABILITY.
Limitation on Bringing Action - No action, regardless of form, arising out of the agreement to purchase the Product may be brought by purchaser more than one year after the cause of action has accrued.
Governing Law - Any action, regardless of form, arising out of the agreement to purchase the Product is governed by New York law.
Mandatory Arbitration - Any action, regardless of form, arising out of the agreement to purchase the Product is subject to mandatory arbitration. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, DEPENDING ON JURISDICTION.
